Join us at the Osher Marin JCC for a family-friendly, multi-cultural night of great music, food and dancing as Summer Nights returns to our large outdoor field aside Marin’s beautiful nature and open space preserve.

Ricardo Lemvo has established himself as a music pioneer with his innovative blend of vibrant Afro-Cuban and Pan-African music. The Los Angeles Times described Lemvo’s irresistible fusion of Congolese rumba, soukous, Cuban son, salsa, kizomba and semba as “seamless and infectious”. Lemvo is the embodiment of the Afro-Latin Diaspora which connects back to Mother Africa via the Cuban clave rhythm. He is truly multi-cultural and equally at home singing in Spanish, Portuguese, Kimbundu, Turkish, Lingala and Kikongo. Since forming his Los Angeles-based band Makina Loca in 1990, Lemvo has refined his craft and vision, raising his joyous voice with strength, singing songs that celebrate life, and most importantly, inspiring his audiences to let loose and dance away their worries.

Start the evening at 6:30 with free Salsa lessons, then strut your stuff on the field or just sit back, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the party! Pop-up food vendors, concessions, beer, wine, canned cocktails and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Doors open: 5:00 pm, food and drink will be available

Pre-event Salsa dance class: 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm, presented by Salsa Marin Dance Academy

Show starts: 7:30 pm

Tickets: $30. Kids 12 and under are FREE and will not need a ticket.

Seating: Seating will be general admission and on the turf. You may bring picnic or lawn blankets, low back chairs or padded stadium chairs-camping or oversized chairs will not be permitted. There will be preferred seating for any handicapped guests.

Food/Drink: Pop-up food vendors, concessions, beer, wine, canned cocktails and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Tables and chairs will be set up on the basketball court for dining before and during the show. No outside beverages are permitted (empty water bottles ok) and will be confiscated during security check. Photo I.D. will be required for a wristband to purchase alcoholic beverages.
