About the event

Pollinators: Which Flowers Are They Visiting?
Join us for Pollinator Week to learn about pollinator preferences using community science data collected on iNaturalist!

About this Event

Did you know that different kinds of pollinators (like butterflies and bumblebees) prefer different kinds of flowers? And did you know you can learn about these preferences using iNaturalist?

In celebration of Pollinator Week, join us for a presentation on how to learn about pollinator preferences on iNaturalist! If you have experience using this community science tool, we will also show you how to document these pollinator/flower interactions yourself. After the presentation, we will go on a short walk through our butterfly garden and snap some photos and apply what we learned to link the pollinators with the flowers they visit. All ages are welcome.
