This free workshop offers a reflective introduction into the powerful intersection of art and activism, emphasising how creative expression can drive social change.
Through creative exercises and discussions, participants are invited into a space of questioning, exchanging and co-creating. Together, we will explore how artistic practices can dialog with civic causes, and how the fusion of art and activism —artivism— can become a driving force for social, political, and environmental change. This will be followed by a discussion on ethical practices, responsibility & power imbalances in the context of socially engaged work.
The workshop is collaboratively led by Emilia Figiel and BILOURA Intercultural Arts Collective (Italy) & open to artists, activists, educators, NGO workers, and anyone with the desire to reflect on and share urgent questions through arts.
We warmly encourage everyone to bring their own experience and share with us political or social struggles that move you.
💃 Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in
