The Music Never Stops - the Future of the Dead

Interest in the Grateful Dead continues to grow, with new generations of listeners embracing the music while others are making it their own by mixing Dead classics with electronic dance music and even hip hop. Will the Dead's legacy be its own music or will it be in the ever growing number of mashups and jam bands?

Join David Gans, host of the acclaimed Grateful Dead Hour and Tales from the Golden Road along with Dean Budnick, Editor-in-Chief of Relix Magazine, a music publication originally created to connect people who recorded Grateful Dead concerts, to discuss how the band's music and culture continue to thrive across generations.

This program is one of the three special programs at Manny's to explore the past, present and future of the Grateful Dead's music and culture, in the lead up to Dead and Company's three concerts in Golden Gate Park on July 31-August 2nd.
