LET'S FINISH OUT THE SUMMER WITH A FREE OUTDOOR FUNKY JAM FESTIVAL! ANNOUNCING "SUNDAYS ARE DEAD" SUNDAY AUGUST 31st OUTSIDE HARLAN RECORDS IN DOWNTOWN SF! (one block from Montgomery BART!)
Mr. Hat Proudly Presents, in collaboration with Harlan Records, a special event to celebrate the end of summer featuring two very funky jambands offering their take on the Grateful Dead Songbook and more! There will be food and drinks available for purchase, Shakedown Vendors, and fun activities for the kids.
SCHEDULE: 12 pm - Welcome- "gates" open to Harlan Lane (closed to traffic)
1-3 pm: MOODY CAT
4-7:15 pm: JOE MARCINEK BAND
ABOUT THE BANDS:
JOE MARCINEK BAND
Joe Marcinek is a nationally-renowned guitarist, keyboard player, and the leader of the Dead Funk Summit. JMB shows combine his funk, Grateful Dead, jazz, and blues influences and he is a magnet for talented top-tier musicians. For this show, he has assembled an amazing band featuring Angeline Saris, Dylan Teifer (Steely Dead), Jerry Saracini, Jeff Hobbs, and Jen Freebairn.
MOODY CAT
Moody Cat is a funkadelic jam soul band from the NorCal foothills featuring the guitar heroics of Sean Lehe (Jellybread, Poor Man's Whiskey). Old School Funk Vibes with a fresh jamband approach, this is an exciting group that I have been wanting to bring to the Bay Area for some time.
