Support zine creators from the Bay Area and beyond by purchasing their zines. If you make zines or art, bring them to offer as trade! Many vendors take electronic payment through Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, etc. and some take credit/debit cards.

π A roundtable talk with the Guest of Honor Thien Pham and artists Gene Luen Yang, Briana Loewinsohn, and Jason Shiga in SOMA Room from 3-4 p.m.
π§‘ Make buttons with SF Public Library; read from hundreds of zines in the SFZF Zine Library; and make zines at our zine workshop

More info about our Guest of Honor:
Thien Pham is a graphic novelist and educator based in Oakland, CA. He is the author and illustrator of the graphic novel Sumo and the illustrator for the middle-grade graphic novel Level Up, written by Gene Luen Yang. His latest book, Family Style, a memoir about his family's immigration to America, told through the lens of food, came out in June 2023. Family Style has been on numerous best-of lists, including the Washington Postβs βTop Ten Graphic Novels of 2023β and Publishers Weekly's β20 Books We Love.β Family Style was a finalist for the ALA YALSA Excellence in Non-Fiction and Won an Eisner award for Best Memoir Graphic Novel. Currently, Pham is working on his next graphic novel, teaching, and eating. A lot.

The 11"x15" poster (riso printed by Tiny Splendor), a tote, and stickers created by Thien will be available for sale at the in-person fest on Aug. 31. You'll also be able to order a t-shirt designed by our guest of honor.
