Fall Volunteer Day - Habitat for Humanity Playhouse

SAFETY TALK ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED. Late arrivals may be limited to painting tasks.

Join us for the Fall Volunteer Day with Habitat for Humanity - 1 Playhouse Build

Join us as we construct playhouses for the community. Working in teams of 8–12 (must be ages 16+) volunteers, you’ll help bring a custom-designed playhouse to life from start to finish. No prior building experience is required. Habitat for Humanity's staff will guide you through the process, with safety talks and clear instructions provided at the start of the activity.

This is a great opportunity to work together, learn new skills, and make a meaningful contribution. Completed playhouses will be donated to community partners, bringing joy to children and families.

What to Bring & Wear:

• Close-toed shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting paint on
• An extra layer if working in the warehouse or sun protection if outdoors
• Water bottle and snacks

Important Notes:

• All volunteers must complete registration and sign a waiver before participating. To join this team event, please sign up using this . You will first need to have an account in the system before you are able to join the team and activity. If you volunteered in the last year, you may already have a profile and will just need log into your account and join the team activity by clicking “Join Team” at the bottom of the Team Opportunity page. • Alcohol is not allowed on site.
• Parking is limited - please consider ride share or allow extra time to find parking.

Schedule:

8:45-9:00 AM - Volunteer Check In

9:00 AM - Welcome/Habitat 101 and Announcement of Playhouse Recipients, Safety Talk, and Build Instructions

9:15 AM - Split volunteers into groups – painting, carpentry, and design

12:00 PM - Assembly playhouses

1:00 PM - Take photos with completed houses. Event Ends
