We had a few new to OpenMic last week...
A big "thanks" to all that were with us last week. Rachel Lee took the mic and gave up a sweet set of songs. Dylan Kebow accompanid her on acoustic.
Rachel is an exciting young talent with a love for popular and standards from years past. She announced her upcoming concert at DIZZY'S JAZZ CLUB on Saturday, July 12. Accompanied by a small orchestra, she'll present the music of Joni Mitchell and Jaco Pastorius.
Chet Laird joined us for the first time. Chet and Dylan Kebow set a terrific tone on their acoustics. We'll see them in the weeks ahead.
All-in-all the program was loaded with variety and energy. The audience was as thick as the roster of performers was brilliant.
Join us this Monday night. All genres are welcome. The more variety the better! Pickers, Folk, Americana, Country, Celtic, Rock, Bluegrass, Contemporary, Standards... bring it on.
