The impact of a father’s presence in a child’s life is profound. Studies consistently show that engaged fathers lead to better outcomes for their children, families, and the wider community. This is vital for all fathers—whether married, single, or non-custodial—as they contribute significantly to their families’ well-being.
In recognition of this vital role, the California State Assembly passed House Resolution 36 on May 23, 2023, designating June as Fatherhood Well-being Month. This month-long observance
highlights the critical influence that fathers and father figures have in shaping the lives of their children and communities. In light of this, we are excited to host a “fatherhood engagement” event aimed at fostering strong bonds between fathers and their children.
Many low-income fathers face financial barriers that prevent them from participating in family outings. To address this, we are offering tickets for only $10.00 each, making it possible for every father to create lasting memories with their families.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we provided over 100 tickets to low-income fathers and their families (including Moms), resulting in [number] dads, children, and family members joining us for a day of joy and connection. The gratitude expressed by these fathers was heartwarming, as they relished the opportunity to spend quality time with their loved ones, igniting a renewed sense of hope for their futures.
