100 Years of Winter Sports at Big Pines Park

UPDATE: Ingrid Wicken, author, ski historian, and founder of the California Ski Library will be our special guest at this presentation!

On Thursday, December 4, the San Bernardino Historical & Pioneer Society will host a program entitled "100 Years of Winter Sports in Big Pines Park," presented by local historian Mark Landis. This program features the story of Big Pines Park, near Wrightwood, and the history of winter sports there. The ski resorts that began at Big Pines Park include Blue Ridge, Holiday Hill, Table Mountain, and today's Mountain High Resorts. The program features numerous historic photos of the facilities and people that pioneered winter sports in the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California.
