Welcome to The Ten Heritage Tribes event at Memorial Library (SAPL)! In celebration of Juneteenth, please join us for a brief lecture . The Ten Heritage Tribes explores the origins of Black Diasporic peoples, introducing the ten African tribes we were most stolen from, their cultural traditions, and how their impact manifests today. In this lecture, we also briefly examine the present and future of the ever-evolving Black American identity.
The presenter is Jahsanna “Jah” Randolph, a Howard University alumna, Afro-Indigenous history educator, writer, and artist.
