This Juneteenth, join us for a powerful afternoon of poetry, storytelling, and community expression at Sankofa Voices: A Celebration of Poetry & Storytelling.

We’re hosting an open mic where local voices—young and old—are invited to share original poems, personal stories, reflections, and spoken word inspired by the theme “What Is Freedom?” From the roots of resistance to the beauty of self-expression, this is a space to uplift and honor the truths of our people and our shared history.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or stepping up to the mic for the first time, this is your space to shine, reflect, and connect.
