A Path to Collection
This clinic will examine balance in weight, movement, and maneuver, both lateral and longitudinal…what we call collection and straightness. While you can’t expect to achieve collection in two days, this clinic will give you tools and exercises to develop better engagement of the muscles required to get there. We’ll start by developing an understanding of what collection is, what it looks like, and why it benefits every horse in every discipline. We’ll take a look at its effects on longevity, skeletal and muscular health, and efficiency of motion. We’ll also take a hard look at misguided practices to achieve a look of collection that’s really not, and some of the things we do that wear our horses down too soon and too fast.

clinic fee: $300
$150 non refundable deposit to hold your spot, remainder due June 13
pens available: $35/horse
RV hook up: $50
if you are not staying the weekend and do not want a pen for the weekend, there is a $10 ranch fee. You can tie to your trailer or one of our hitching areas
