Grinkle Mine Walk

Join Loftus Accord Walking Group in another celebration of our industrial heritage and our beautiful countryside . Led by Harry Waring , this walk will take us to the site of the former Grinkle Mine.

Please bring adequate fluids and a packed lunch to eat near the site of the old mine, where we will meet with local industrial archaeology enthusiasts involved in the excavations of the mine .

This walk is 8-9 miles long and will include stiles , ascents and descents . Please dress appropriately for these conditions and the weather on the day.

A voluntary contribution of £3 per adult towards the running costs of the group would be appreciated .

Well-behaved dogs on short leads at all times are welcome.

Loftus has good free carparking facilities and is well-served by several good cafes, pubs

Buses Arriva X4 and 5 , Stagecoach 1 and 2 serve the town.
