Community Meditation

Community Meditation with Peter Levitt. A 5-part series.
Meditation leader Peter Levitt has practiced meditation for more than fifty years. As a fully authorized Zen teacher, he founded and led the Salt Spring Zen Circle until his retirement in 2023. He is the author of twenty books of poetry and prose, including translations from Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish. He developed this program with the hope that learning the general basics of meditation will bring greater calm, ease, enjoyment and understanding to fellow islanders. Each week's session will include instruction, meditation, and questions & answers. Participants will be sitting in chairs and will be able to continue this practice at home. Beginning and experienced participants are welcome to join.
