Yoga Dance Academy w/ John Cottrell

Come join the fun and dance like a yogi! Open to all levels!

Before John Cottrell became a yoga instructor, he found joy in dance and choreography. He performed in musical reviews and helped choreograph theatrical productions while attending graduate school in California, even performing in a competitive dance troupe.

When he later discovered vinyasa yoga in Salt Lake City, he was amazed how it reminded him of his dance and choreography days. Now as a certified yoga teacher, when he creates a yoga flow, it's like choreographing a dance; his students are the dancers, flowing and moving as if they were a professional company performing on stage.

In these stylized classes, John teaches vinyasa sequences set to songs like "Vogue," "Thriller," or "Time Warp," cleverly guiding you through movements that eloquently match the beat and pace of the music.
