This event is open to poetry, music and comedy. Singer-songwriters and musicians with original unlicensed music. All genres of music are welcome.
Shug’s is a Music & Art venue with a focus on original artists. We like to feature different artists during our OMM. The featured artist performs for 30 minutes at 9:15 and is compensated for their time and talent.

Marissa Missing has been writing songs since before she knew how to play an instrument. Her influences range from Lana Del Rey and Nirvana to The White Stripes and The Beatles. She’s an old soul with a punk rock edge.
She’s currently studying opera at Central Piedmont Community College and learning to produce her own music. Marissa plays original shows around Charlotte and is working on a new self-recorded album coming soon!
