We are proud to announce the opening of Homer’s Forge—a dynamic new space at the Rancho Cielo Youth Campus where tradition meets innovation, and sparks fly in more ways than one. As part of the Hope, Horses & Kids program, this forge is designed for both aspiring farriers and artisan metalworkers alike.

Homer’s Forge is more than just a place to learn horseshoeing—it’s a creative haven for students and community members to explore the broader world of blacksmithing, from handcrafted tools and decorative ironwork to functional art. Whether it's the first swing of a hammer or the final touch on a custom piece, this space empowers learners to discover the beauty and discipline of working with fire and metal.

Made possible by the generosity of the Nancy Eccles and Homer M. Hayward Family Foundation, Homer’s Forge is a tribute to hands-on skill, creative expression, and meaningful opportunity. It’s a place where the next generation of makers will shape not just metal—but their futures.
