Ahead of the AANHPI Mini Market at Couch Dog Brewing Co., Haeyoung Koh of Bibim Together will present a bilingual reading of 할머니와 봄의 정원 (Grandma and the Spring Garden) in English and Korean. Inspired by the story’s themes of Spring renewal and connection, participants will create flower-imprinted coasters using air-dry clay. Haeyoung will also invite a youth storyteller to share her experience growing up as Asian/Korean American, reflecting on cherished memories with her relatives. Families will be invited to reflect and contribute their own stories or traditions on prompt cards, celebrating the ties that connect us across generations.
Due to limited space, pre-registration is required. Pay what you can! Our suggested sliding scale for registration is $20-40 per family. Your contribution helps support more Lucky Knot Arts programming! Please provide the names of each participating family member upon reserving your ticket.
About Lucky Knot Arts
Lucky Knot Arts is a collaborative community centering Asian Americans through creative programming on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Our vision is to sustain a homebase where AANHPIs (including multigenerational, multiracial, and transracially adopted folks) can take up space, create together, and celebrate authentically. Learn more about us at luckyknotarts.org!
Info: Educator and community organizer Haeyoung Koh is the founder of the Bibim Together Bilingual Storytime and Cooking/Craft Adventure—a community program that fosters meaningful intercultural connection through storytelling, food, and creative expression. This initiative brings families together across the Greater Boston area to explore heritage and identity through stories shared in collaboration with storytellers from diverse language and cultural backgrounds. The program creates a warm, welcoming space where participants of all ages can connect with the storyteller’s heritage, reflect on their own experiences, and celebrate the richness of their communities.
Info: Stick around afterwards for our AANHPI Mini Market!
