To enter in open class at the fair, follow these steps:
1. Look at the Premium book for the details of what you can enter and how to enter items.
2. Come to Johnson Hall at the fairgrounds on Wednesday, August 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Look for the "Step 1" sign which is the registration area at the kitchen window. You give your name, address and phone number, pay the $5 and get the registration form. You will get a fair parking pass that gets you free parking throughout the fair as a thank you for exhibiting. It costs $5 per day to park on the grounds.
3. Go to the tables with the premium books and complete the forms with the Division, Class, and Lot with description for each item you submit.
4. Take your items to each division to register. At the last division for registration, they will give you the pink carbon copy. Keep that to claim your items.
5. Come back on Sunday, August 10 at 3 p.m. to pick up your premium check (bringing your pink form so you have your entry number) and all of your items and ribbons. If you do not want your ribbons, you may leave them in the box labeled "Ribbon Return" and we will recycle them.
NOTE: Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons do not receive additional premium. Overall Champion in each division receives an additional $10 premium and Reserve Overall Champion receives an additional $5 premium payment.
