Join Minnesota Parks Artists-in-Residence Marlena Myles, Tanáǧidaŋ Tó Wiŋ (Tara Perron / Blue Hummingbird Woman) and special guests in welcoming the return of Okáǧa, the fertile and invigorating Dakota Summer-Wind of the South, with a powerful community celebration rooted in Dakota teachings and creative expression.
🌿 This is more than just an event, it's a gathering of revitalizing joy, cultural renewal and seasonal wisdom. Through music, movement, art and ancestral knowledge, we honor the winds of growth and transformation.
🎶 Schedule of Events
• 5:30 PM – Flute performance & courtship teachings with Dakota Wind Goodhouse
• 6:30 PM – Musical performance by the legendary Jackie Bird
• 7:30 PM – Dakota Plant Walk
