Alebrijes are imaginative, colorful creatures—part fox, part goose, part fish, part horse, etc.—brought to life by artists Perla Miriam Salgado Zamorano, Alejandro Camacho Barrera, Edgar Israel Camargo Reyes, and Alberto Moreno Fernández.
This summer, don’t miss "Alebrijes: Keepers of the Island", the most ambitious outdoor art exhibit to come to the West Side! Set against the stunning natural backdrop of Raspberry Island, this exhibit features 16 larger-than-life Alebrije sculptures — vibrant, fantastical creatures from Mexican folk art — standing between 4 and 16 feet tall!
This unforgettable art experience is hosted by the MN Latino Museum and made possible by support from:
Neighborhood House
West Side Community Organization (WSCO)
West Side Boosters
Saint Paul Parks and Rec
Friends of the Mississippi River
Come celebrate culture, community, and creativity with us! 🎨🌊
