The Crow River Film Festival is proud to present a short film program dedicated to female filmmakers!
All of the films in this program are either directed, written or produced by women.

Love, Me (8 minutes)
What seems like the end is only the beginning of a young lady's journey through life and love.
Shadow Puppets (8 minutes)
A young woman, May, navigates through life and her connection with a childhood friend, Sunny. In order to move forward, May must discover how childhood comfort and grief will shape the person she becomes.
She Was, She Is, She Never Will Be (12 minutes)
High Schoolers Tylynn and Adam have been BFFs since before they could even say “BFF”, but Adam has been keeping a secret: he’s in love with her. When he finds out that Tylynn is dating his best friend, Adam is fed up, triggering an explosive confrontation that will change both of their lives.
Bedtime Story (8 minutes)
With Mom exhausted, her five-year old takes matters into his own hands and sends the family dog on an epic quest with life-or-death consequences.
Man in the Long Black Coat (34 minutes)
Inspired by the Bob Dylan song of the same name, 'the Man in the Long Black Coat' tells the story of a young woman in an abusive relationship living in a small town. She sees a mysterious stranger, 'hangin' around at the old dance hall on the outskirts of town.' As her life spirals out of her control, she finds solace in the stranger's company. She must choose to leave the life she knows and escape into the arms of the man in the long black coat before her husband takes even that choice from her.
The Present (8 minutes)
New parents are thrown for a loop by a gift that gives more than expected.
Cycles (9 minutes)
A mother and daughter begin to rethink their relationships after their partners become abusive.
Yesterdays & Tomorrow (9 minutes)
As a mother and daughter sit together on a quiet morning, their candid exchange unveils the depth of their love, the weight of their expectations, and the enduring strength of their relationship.
