Kamran Raqs – Stylized Saidi Workshop

Join Kamran for an energetic, grounded journey into the folkloric roots of Saidi dance. Drawing from traditional Tahtib-inspired movement and his personal style shaped by his mentor in Chicago, Kamran guides dancers through powerful cane technique, signature Saidi steps, and the cultural essence behind this Upper Egyptian martial-art form turned dance.
Expect focused drills, performance-ready combos, and insight into both the masculine and performative sides of the cane dance.
