Step into a fun day of belly dance, creativity, and connection at The Movement Studio in St. Marys, Georgia! Rooted in Rhythm brings together two dynamic workshops that celebrate both fusion innovation and folkloric tradition.
Start your day with Karina Dance, exploring the artistry of modern fusion belly dance through rhythm, layering, and expressive movement in Time Warp. Then, dive into the traditional side of the dance world with Kamran Raqs, who will guide you through Stylized Saidi, a grounded exploration of Upper Egyptian style and cane technique.
This event is open to dancers of all styles and experience levels, whether you’re looking to grow your technique, expand your cultural understanding, or simply reconnect with your dance roots. Rooted in Rhythm is designed to inspire.
Afterward, join us as we gather for dinner and community time at Karv Bistro, a local favorite known for its delicious Mediterranean flavors.
