Young Summer Songwriters Showcase

Young "summer songwriters" will perform original work at 7 p.m. on August 2nd at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad Street, St. Joseph, MI. Tickets at https://ticketstripe.com/freedomcenter for the event are $15 for cabaret seating and $12 general admission. Tickets at the door will be $15 with children 12 and under admitted free.

The inaugural "summer songwriters" program is hosted by Jeremy T. Butler of the Freedom Center for Arts and Education in Benton Harbor, MI. Musicians participated in a two-week workshop with Butler who also is the Lead Pastor of Freedom Life Church.

Butler pursued his secular education at Chicago State University and Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he honed his skills in music and gained a solid foundation in academic studies. On his website, it says,"he has dedicated his life to advancing the arts for future generations, and remains committed to developing programs, building systems, and offering mentorship that unlocks the transformative freedom of creative expression—for both youth and adults alike."
