Ribbon Cutting: Silver Beach County Park Playground Project

Join us on Tuesday, June 17th at 11:00 a.m. as we celebrate the official grand opening of the newly renovated playground at Silver Beach County Park! Thanks to the incredible support and additional contributions from the community, Berrien County Parks has transformed this cherished space into a modern, inclusive playground nestled along the shores of Lake Michigan.

With the help of an MDNR Spark Grant awarded in April 2023—and after two years of thoughtful planning, fundraising, and construction—the Berrien County Parks Department proudly unveiled this exciting new addition over Memorial Day Weekend. Now, we invite you to help us mark this milestone and celebrate a space designed for all to enjoy.

Free parking will be available at the County Park for all event attendees.

Directions: To access the park, take State Street to Water Street (along the river), continue to Vine Street, and then head toward the County Park via Broad Street. Please note: there is no access to the County Park parking lot from Park Street below the bluff.
