Meet and Greet - Sat, June 28th 11am - 1pm

This is your chance to meet some amazing NGA (National Greyhound Association) retired racing greyhounds and learn all about them. Meet our ambassador greyhounds and chat with their owners to learn about their daily lives. We are also looking for fosters in the St. Louis region if you aren’t quite ready to adopt!

James River Greyhounds has been dedicated to finding responsible, caring homes for retired racing greyhounds since 1989. We have found forever homes for more than 1750 greyhounds - and counting! James River Greyhounds, based in VA, opened their adoptions to St. Louis in 2024 and now we has a local chapter that fosters and adopts greyhounds locally.

Our organization is run exclusively on donations and the efforts of dedicated volunteers to accomplish our mission of engaging and educating our communities about the need for greyhound adopters, to facilitate the adoption of retired racing greyhounds and, as an extended family, enjoy these wonderful animals as pets.
