Landskrona Foto in Arles: Works by Johann Husser and Emilia Martin

Join us on July 9, from 6–9 pm, for an evening of drinks and conversation when Landskrona Foto presents a week-long pop-up exhibition in collaboration with Bengtsson Fine Art during the Rencontres d'Arles (July 7–12).

The exhibition showcases works by former Landskrona Foto residency photographers Johann Husser and Emilia Martin. Husser's Threads (2022–2023) explores the impact of gentrification on urban spaces, capturing the contrasts between old and new buildings and the subtle traces of change. Martin’s Hail Mary, bobbin lace, serpent’s thread (2024–in progress) weaves together personal memory and local history, focusing on feminine labor, domestic rituals, and forgotten legacies tied to Landskrona’s past.

These two distinct yet interwoven perspectives offer a deep reflection on the city, its architecture, and the invisible threads that link its history, people, and ongoing transformation.
