MSO FREE FAMILY CONCERT

MSO Family Concert: Music, Magic, and Star Wars!

Join us for a beloved Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra Family Concert, designed especially for the young and the young at heart!

We begin with the thrilling final section of Rossini’s "William Tell Overture," followed by a performance of Britten’s "The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra," a masterpiece that introduces the sound and personality of each instrument family—strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion—with clever narration by guest artist Jake Endres.

Kids ages 6–12 will have a chance to come on stage and show off their best conducting moves—and a few lucky ones will lead the MSO in "Do-Re-Mi" from The Sound of Music!

We close with a spectacular Star Wars suite featuring:

-"The Imperial March" (Darth Vader’s Theme)
-"Princess Leia’s Theme"
-"Throne Room and Finale"

Plus, keep your eyes peeled—some very special characters from a galaxy far, far away may be making an appearance...
