Dear SVBA Friends,
Our picnic month is here: on August 5th, we will NOT meet at The Valley Church, but will gather at Harvey Randall Wickes Park at 7449 McCarty Road. Our gathering time will be 6:00 p.m. We will have chicken from YaYa’s and for our potluck dishes, let’s use the first letter of our last name: A to G (bring a vegetable dish); H-O (desserts); P-Z (salads). We’ll all bring our own drinks: the club will provide silverware/plates/napkins/table coverings. Let’s try to eat right at 6:00, ok?
In the past, we’ve often had a honey tasting contest (we’ll have pretzel sticks), so feel free to bring a small jar of your honey. Although we have mentioned a silent auction for this occasion, let’s wait until September when we’re back inside (less windy, unless Jim’s talking). Spouses/partners are welcome, of course.
