Over the last few years, THE SCHIZOPHONICS have built up a formidable reputation around the world as an explosive live act. Tapping into the same unstoppable combination of rock 'n' roll energy and showmanship that fueled THE MC5 in the heyday of the Grande Ballroom, their wild live show is heavily influenced by artists like JAMES BROWN, IGGY POP, JIMI HENDRIX, LITTLE RICHARD, and THE SONICS. Singer/guitarist Pat Beers and drummer Lety Beers formed the band in San Diego in 2009 and have worked tirelessly since then, playing hundreds of shows around the globe. In 2013 they were recruited as the backing/opening band for EL VEZ, which helped the band make a name for itself in Europe. Since then, they've played in numerous countries, and supported tours by like-minded acts like ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT, LITTLE BARRIE, THE WOGGLES and have opened for the DAMNED, DEVO, HIVES and CAGE THE ELEPHANT. Shindig magazine described their live show "Like watching some insane hybrid of WAYNE KRAMER, JAMES BROWN, and the Tazmanian Devil".

The band is more than just a live act, they're also committed to writing great memorable songs. Their new album in due in the fall of 2022 along with extensive tour dates. The Schizophonics- hailed by Spotify as the "wildest live band in America" - wouldn't want it any other way.

Descartes a Kant (DAK) returns with a new studio album titled After Destruction. Released in all physical and digital formats, this conceptual work proposes a narrative arc exploring the cycles of existential creation and destruction. After Destruction portrays psychic discomfort in a compulsively hyper-communicative but emotionally isolated society, with a retro-futuristic aesthetic, destructive guitars, synthesizers and soulful melodies. ​Lampooning contemporary emotional consumerism, the band integrates an automaton character into their lineup: The DAK, an innovative machine designed to repair emotional damage, which appears through interludes both on the album and in the live act. Looking to restore your life after a catastrophe? Turning your pain into a work of art has never been easier.

In 2024 the band started releasing a video collection of the full album in their youtube channel, directed by Persia Campbell, and started playing shows in support of this album with two tours in Europe, one in the United States and one in Mexico, playing in festivals such as Pohoda (Slovakia), InMusic (Croatia) Aftershock (United States), Pitchfork Music Festival (Mexico), Fusion (Germany), Louder than Life (United States). In early 2025 the band will release a KEXP Live Session, and will continue touring in South America, Mexico, Europe, USA and Canada.

Purchasing an Eventbrite ticket guarantees entry to event in case of a sell out. In advance does not guarantee parking, seating or express entry to any live music event at Swabbies. More than one band per day may/will be playing, tickets will be specific for band and times.

We advise early arrival for best seating and service times during possible sold-out events/standing room, etc. Expected food and service times during peak can be up to an hour. Again early arrival is suggested.

Refund Policy

Swabbies event tickets purchased at Eventbrite are non-refundable, with the following exceptions:

• Event cancelled due to weather: In the event of weather-related cancellation, Swabbies will EITHER refund the full purchase price and the service fee paid on the purchase, OR if the event is rescheduled for a later date, tickets will be honored at that time.
• Event cancelled due to Artist cancellation: In the event of an Artist-related cancellation due to illness or other unforeseen emergency, Swabbies will EITHER refund full ticket price and the service fee paid on purchase OR if the event is rescheduled for a later date, tickets will be honored at that time.

NO REFUNDS unless show is canceled.
