With music always in the forefront of his career choices, Bay Area DJ Weapon’s catalog includes audio engineering, music production, and even a “short stint as a struggling karaoke singer.” However, in the past few years, he decided to pick up DJing, a decision that he fatefully made when a friend was looking for a resident DJ for Infusion Lounge on Tuesdays. Thanks to his musical background and determination, it didn’t take long for him to grasp the concept, and just recently he celebrated three years as a resident DJ at Infusion Lounge.

How did you get your name?

When I was producing, I went by a different production name that was given to me as a teen. Then I had heard a story of a Buddhist monk that lived in a war-ridden country at the time. When ask how he maintained his positivity surrounded by so much violence, he simply replied, “Music is my weapon”, which hit very close to home. Music has always been my positive release of my negative energy.
