Talk & Tea - Just Say Yes

In nearly 5 decades of science journalism, Bob McDonald has been Canada’s foremost explainer of all things scientific.

Despite difficulties in school and dropping out of university, he rose from his blue-collar background to become the revered science reporter and host of CBC Radio’s Quirks and Quarks.

His most recent book, “Just Say Yes”, offers a personal and inspiring memoir of the life-changing events that would make him a national figure as the witty, engaging, and passionately-curious science host that Canadians tune in to hear each week.

He writes of the doors of opportunity that opened for him over the years, and while not officially qualified for these opportunities, he found the courage to say “Yes!” and step through those doors.
