Spring River Sweep: Gray's to Coxe Rd

Join us for a litter sweep of the Broad River! We will be cleaning up section 5 of the Broad River, a 40-50 ft wide, meandering waterway with high banks and mostly shaded. The highest class of rapids is class 1 or less, aside from one rocky class 2 ledge with easy portage for those who would prefer to go around.


After the hurricane the river sustained damage to the river banks and is lined with litter and debris but is safe to kayak with caution.


Trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers will be provided by ROC. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their kayaks and canoes out to the clean-up. If you are in need of a boat or gear, please contact Z2FiZSB8IHJ1dGhlcmZvcmRvdXRkb29yICEgb3Jn to inquire about availability.
