ROC Sunset Hike: Lookout Trail in Montreat

Join ROC to watch the sunset at Lookout Mountain in Montreat! This trail will take us up a 1-mile climb up ~600ft to the overlook, which provides a stunning view of the surrounding area and a perfect place to watch the sun go down over the mountains!

This hike will be a strenuous uphill climb, including some rocky sections that require some scrambles. We will go as slow as necessary to make everyone comfortable. Please bring trekking poles if you have them to help maneuver these sections, and a headlamp or a flashlight for the hike back. Carpool details: Parking is limited at Montreat, so all participants will carpool with ROC in our van from the ROC Office! Details will be sent to those who register.
