Katy Johns (violin) and Jong-Gyung Park (piano)

Local musicians Katy Johns (violin) and Jong-Gyung Park (piano) return to delight us with another recital.

American violinist Katy Gorsuch Johns studied with Miriam Fried at Indiana University, USA, before being taught by Itzhak Rashkovsky at the Royal College of Music in London, England. She then embarked on a playing career which has taken her to such venues as Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and St David’s Hall.
As a member of the prize-winning Bronte String Quartet from 2001 to 2006 she performed at IMS Prussia Cove and on BBC Radio 3.

Korean pianist, Jong-Gyung Park, studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and is now firmly established as one of the leading pianists of her generation. Having made her orchestral debut at age thirteen with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, she has since appeared with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Belgian National Orchestra, and others.
