Curious about the Cuban rhythms that shaped today’s dance floors?Join Gina Abbate for a vibrant 2-hour dive into Pilón, one of Cuba’s most soulful and rhythmic dance styles.
This workshop is more than movement: it’s an exploration of music, history, and emotion. Gina will introduce the origins of Pilón, share the stories behind the rhythm, and guide you through the essential body movements, timing, and feeling. After working through the foundations, you'll play with creative variations and dynamic group interaction to truly embody the spirit of Pilón!
