On Monday October 20 we welcome renowned philosopher and public intellectual Agnes Callard, celebrating the Dutch translation of her new book Open Socrates. Named one of The Guardian’s most anticipated books of 2025, Open Socrates offers a bold reappraisal of the iconic thinker—not as a distant historical figure, but as a vital guide for modern life.

In this public talk, Callard uncovers the radical force at the heart of Socratic philosophy: the idea that we need one another to ask the most important questions—about love, death, politics, and how to live.
