OFFICIAL RULES
TEAM FORMAT
2 players per team
Substitutions are allowed only in emergencies and must be approved by league officials in advance.
Team names and coordinated attire are encouraged!
MATCH NIGHTS & SCHEDULE
Matches take place on Monday nights at 7:00 PM
Tournament Dates: June 2, June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28 (Finals)
Double elimination or bracket style format (TBD based on number of teams)
SCORING & MATCHPLAY
Matches consist of 18 holes played in a best-ball format (team takes the lower of the two scores per hole).
Lowest total team score wins the match.
In the event of a tie, sudden death begins on Hole 1 and continues hole-by-hole until one team wins.
COURSE RULES
All matches played on the ADA-compliant “Doubloon Lagoon” course at Aurora Cineplex.
Standard mini golf rules apply:
Max 6 strokes per player per hole.
If a ball goes out of bounds, replace it where it left the course with a 1-stroke penalty.
No jumping over obstacles or moving course features.
CONDUCT & SPIRIT
This is a fun, family-friendly event – good sportsmanship is expected.
Heckling is part of the fun but keep it respectful and clean.
Friends and family are encouraged to cheer from the sidelines!
FEES & PERKS
$50 per team for the entire season (includes unlimited practice rounds).
Entry includes eligibility for weekly and season-long prizes.
PRIZES
Weekly winners get trophies, swag, or local prizes.
Champions earn a perpetual trophy, Area 51 shirts, and top-tier prizes.
Creative team names and costumes may earn bonus awards.
MEDIA & HIGHLIGHTS
By entering, players agree to be photographed or filmed for promotional use.
