Next event sees our focus travel toward to the traditional form of Rogaining in a natural bush environment. We are heading back to Coomalie Farm as it coincides with a special anniversary that commemorates 80 years almost to the day when the Second World War ended in the Pacific. The Coomalie Fly In is an Opportunity to traverse over an area that still bears some of the structures, diggings, fortifications and remnants that existed more than 80 years ago when Australian force and Army personnel were based in the area defending Australia.
This is truly a special occasion that will see many forms of aircraft and people come together to think about a time gone by but not forgotten.
The area is superb country to conduct Rogaining across, with its high rocky ridges and windy creek systems it provides a varied and interesting choice of route no matter which way you decide to go. The area varied with wildlife and flora as well.
