This summer, join in the celebration of the Rogers Historical Museum’s 50th anniversary by traveling back to when the museum first opened in 1975 to make some of the decade’s most iconic crafts. For centuries, people around the world have used beads made of various materials, such as bone, shell, clay, plastic, and glass, as a means of expression and fashion. Different cultures and new generations through the ages have put their own take on bead work use and design. Come learn about some of these age-old bead working customs, then explore designs of bead jewelry of the 1970s before making your own beaded bracelet. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration required. NOTE: Parents/Guardians are required to accompany their children at all times during the sessions.
Tickets for Bead Jewelry can be booked here.
