Shakespeare in Rogers City - The Comedy of Errors and Shakespearean Staging Workshop

Join Starling Shakespeare Company in Rogers City on August 21st for The Comedy of Errors, plus a pre-performance Staging Shakespeare workshop!

Free Workshop: 4:30-5:30 pm
Performance: 7:30pm-9:00pm ($10 tickets available at the door)

As part of this year's Northeast Exposure arts and culture series, this five actor cast will bring a whirlwind of laughter and mistaken identity in the hilarious Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors". As a touring Shakespeare theatre company, the actors consider the audience as collaborators in a shared theatrical experience. Shakespeare was known for interactivity with his audiences. Prior to the performance, the public is invited to attend a free Shakespearean workshop starting at 4:30pm at the theater. Learn some of the skills of a Shakespearean actor. The workshop is for participants 14 years old and up.

The theatre performance starts at 7:30pm and tickets are $10/person at the door. The 2025 Northeast Exposure is funded in part through the Community Foundation of Northeast Michigan and the Friends of the Rogers City Library of the Presque Isle District Library.
