Come enjoy a night out with us readers. Mingle, grab a drink, & read silently together. Our summer silent book club series at the Rocky Mount Mills. This month, we'll be right outside the entrandce of Hopfly Brewing, the lobby of that building. I will be getting there early to hopefully secure the tables.
From 5-7pm, Habibti Bookshop will be popped up at the mills to grab a new read for the month. We'll have our July Read with us Rocky Mount book club pick -- Flashlight. If it rains, we will set up tables inside.
7-730pm: Grab a drink & mingle. Meet fellow readers & talk tbrs, upcoming events, & get to know our bookish community.
7:30-8:30pm: Find a seat, it's time to read. I'll set the big timer & we'll read silently for ONE HOUR. Bring the book you're currently reading, one off your tbr shelf, or grab a new one from Habibti.
8:30-9pm: Let's chat about the books we're reading. If you know us, you know this may go past 9pm. But guess what? It's a Friday & it's summertime. Let's cultivate community & enjoy ourselves through our love of literature.
Please invite your bookish friends & bring them along. This is a great opportunity to carve some time to read & be held accountable by your friends to actually do it!! Hope to see you there.
