I am happy to announce the Sport Shot Wednesdays Adult/Junior league is back for another summer! This singles league is the perfect way to improve your game on all levels AND offers a chance to add some equipment to your arsenal. Please remember, as with previous seasons, this league does not have a prize fund outside of the optional sidepots and sweepers. The league is meant to allow players to get practice and experience on sport patterns.
The league will get started on Wednesday, May 14th at 7:30pm at AMF Rocklin Lanes and bowl on 8 different oil patterns over a 14 week season. There will be 3 options for league dues. Please see below for additional details:

- Wednesday Nights @ 7:30pm
- 14 week season - Starts May 14th and ends August 13th.
- Singles format - 2 players per lane
- Bowl 4 games per week
- Bowl on 8 different sport oil patterns over a 14-week season (PBA, PWBA, Kegel, WBT and USBC patterns)
- Handicap Singles Format
- Adults and Juniors welcome
- Not USBC sanctioned
- Regressive points system (bowl against everybody at once)
- Weekly Progressive 10th frame strike pot included
- Season ending sweeper
- Optional brackets/hi game pot
Just like last summer, there will be 3 league dues options. Players can choose to just bowl every week OR apply some of your dues to a gift card to the pro shop of your choice.
2025 Weekly dues: (subtract $2.75/week for junior bowlers):
- $16.00 per week = Bowl 4 games, entry into the weekly strike pot and season ending sweeper
- $23.00 per week = Bowl 4 games, weekly strike pot, sweeper + $100.00 Pro Shop gift card
- $30.00 per week = Bowl 4 games, weekly strike pot, sweeper + $200.00 Pro Shop gift card
The gift cards will be available as soon as the league dues are paid in full, and players can order equipment through the pro shop to ensure prompt delivery.
We will once again be using the Regressive Point System this summer. This system allows all players to compete against each other every game. Here’s how it works: Let’s say the league has 40 players and everybody bowls the first game of the league session. The player who bowls the highest handicap game will receive 40 points. The 2nd highest game gets 39 points. 3rd highest gets 38 points, ect. The lowest score gets 1 point. This will continue for all 4 games for a maximum of 160 points per night.

There will be a league meeting on May 14th at 7:00pm. During the meeting we will discuss our league rules and format options and as well do a random draw for the oil patterns we will bowl on for the season.
