FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Veterans Art Show to Shine Spotlight on Mental Health Awareness
Friday May 30th, 5–9 PM at Veterans Memorial Hall 211 N Main St Rockford, IL
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the community is invited to a powerful evening of art, expression, and healing at the Veterans Art Show.
This free public event will feature visual art, photography, sculpture, and mixed media works created by local veterans, all centered around the theme of mental health and the journey of healing. Through their work, veteran artists will share personal experiences, struggles, and triumphs, creating a space for conversation, connection, and understanding.
“Our goal is to honor the voices of Veterans and bring attention to the importance of mental health, especially within the Veteran Community,” said Theresa Criss-Amos, event organizer. “Art is a powerful tool for healing, and this show offers a way for our Veterans to be seen, heard, and celebrated.”
If you are a Veteran and would like to exhibit and or participate in the Art show please complete an application at.
