Step Into the World of Somnium
Somnium is a multimedia art festival that delves into the surrealist world of dreams through art installation, light projection, music, puppets and storytelling, dance, video, and flow arts. Combining the collaborative masterwork of artists from around the world, Somnium is an immersive and multi-sensory experience that transforms reality.
In its fourth year, Mentes Extremófilas presents Somnium: The Book of the Hollow Earth, an exploration of the worlds inside our earth, among the trees of the Rockford Park District’s beautiful Sinnissippi Park.

Somnium is a production of Mentes Extremófilas, created and directed by Eddaviel Montero and Emily Klonicki with artists Odilius Vlak, Raymond Jáquez, David Stocker, Jenny Mathews, Zach Stephens, Alizé Jireh, Zheka Fedoseev and Valentina Fedoseva, Patrick Mattison, Ella Lakey, Xen Kingsley, Faith Minneyfield, Maggie Arango, Bill Houtkamp, Andrew Ehrhardt, Verónica Soria Martinez, Camilo Marte, Prairie Smoke, and Chroma Club. Somnium also introduces students to creativity through the Rockford Area Arts Council SPARK! Somnium Art Camp.
