Patchwork Improv: Working with Strips on August 2

Ever want to learn how to make a quilt block that isn’t precise and perfect? Try improvisational quilting! Learn how to randomly piece fabric to create a one-of-a-kind quilt block. Classes are geared toward people who have limited sewing experience, but a lot of great ideas.

What you need to know:

Bring sewing machine, fabric stash, and thread. Irons, cutting mats, rotary cutters, and scissors provided. Limited number of library sewing machines available; Please note in the registration if you need one. We will accommodate as many as we can.
Participants must know how to comfortably use a sewing machine.

You can also swap fabrics at the event! If you're just interested in sharing or watching the project tutorial, registration not required. Registration is required if you're planning to sew.

Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and beverages.

Saturday Stash Busters meets on the first Saturday of each month, August through December, from 10:30am - 1:30pm, at the Downtown Library. Each program features a different improvisational quilting style. It is not necessary to attend all classes. Choose the ones that interest you and fit your schedule.
