⚾ Buddy Ball Baseball – 1st Season! ⚾
Presented by the Optimist Club of Sterling
The Optimist Club of Sterling is excited to launch the first season of Buddy Ball Baseball – a FREE, inclusive league designed to give boys and girls (ages 8–14) with a wide range of disabilities the opportunity to experience the fun of playing organized baseball!
Season Dates:
• September 20th
• September 27th
• October 4th
• October 11th
Game Time: 9:30 AM
Location: T-Ball Park, Rock Falls (behind Dillon School)
Cost: FREE – limited to the first 40 players
What makes Buddy Ball special?
• No score, no strikes – just fun!
• Every child bats every inning
• Games last about 1 hour (2 innings)
• Players may hit off a tee or w/ coach pitch
• Each participant is paired w/ a “Buddy” to assist with batting, fielding, or running bases
The Optimists will provide all equipment, helmets, softballs, and water. Players may bring their own glove (optional). A parent/guardian must remain at the park during play.
🌧 Rainouts or schedule changes will be shared on Facebook and via text.
