Moline Kiwanis "Spirit of Service” Breakfast!

Join us Tuesday, May 6th, at 7:30 a.m. for our “Kiwanis Spirit of Service” Breakfast!

Join us as we celebrate community, service, and the power of positive impact with an interesting lineup of guest speakers. Hear inspiring stories and insights from Joe Moreno, Director of the YMCA's Nourish program; Mark Mueller, the visionary Founding Director of Nourish; and YMCA CEO Mike Wennekamp. This is more than just breakfast—it’s a chance to connect, be inspired, and see how lives are being transformed right here in our community. The Nourish program, launched in 2018 at the Two Rivers YMCA, is a youth nutrition initiative that provides free, nutritious meals to thousands of children in the Quad Cities area—addressing food insecurity where 1 in 5 kids face hunger. Operating from the Rock Island YMCA’s kitchen and expanding to the Spirit Mind & Body Center in Moline during summer, Nourish serves up to 2,000 meals a day and is making a real difference in schools where the majority of students rely on free or reduced lunch. With future plans to teach kids about cooking, nutrition, and gardening, Nourish is not just feeding children—it’s empowering them for a healthier future. #KidsNeedKiwanis #Inspiration #YMCA #NourishKids
